ESG Governance

Systematic Operation for ESG Management

HHI recognizes the importance of ESG management and has established an ESG promotion system that includes an ESG Committee under the Board of Directors, a company-wide ESG Promotion Committee, and a dedicated ESG department.
The ESG Committee was introduced in April 2021 and is responsible for reviewing the strategic direction and plans for ESG management. The ESG Promotion Committee and its subcommittees, including the Carbon Management Subcommittee and Human Rights Management Subcommittee, discuss key ESG objectives and initiatives, such as the implementation of the Carbon Neutrality Roadmap and human rights impact assessments, and develop execution strategies in collaboration with ESG-dedicated and relevant departments.
We have also established an ESG Working Group, Group ESG Council, and CEO Council with HD Hyundai Group companies, and we have launched an ESG Advisory Group consisting of four external experts specializing in areas such as the environment, corporate disclosure, and governance to promote seamless collaboration for the sustainable ESG management of our companies.
